Mod Brit art is a term given to British art work painted from after the First World War to the 1970's. The era was heavily influenced by more abstract work from artists such as Ben Nicholson. The search for using art as a metaphor for the mind rather than classically painting an image rapidly emerged during this period and is highly sought after today.
