This original and beautiful pen and ink drawing is for 'The First Appearance Of A Beast-Fish' from 'The Life and Adventures of Peter Wilkins'.

This particular drawing was used and faces page 82 of the 1928 edition published by JM Dent.

The drawing is mounted on a mock-up of the final page, with staining to top edge, pencil annotations for cropping, thumbed and creased.

There is another pencil drawing on the back of this drawing.

The full sheet has printed text pasted below the drawing to form a mock up of the final page.

The image itself is in good condition measuring 17 x 12cm (sheet size including image 29 x 20.1cm)
