Marina Syntelis from Greece is rapidly becoming one of the world's greatest exponents of hyper realistic wave paintings and 'Colossus' is an epic, breath-taking picture in every way!

In Marinas words this painting is about " the majesty of the sea competing with the majesty of the sky. Both equally powerful, both equally interesting. Once again, the waves fight for their presence in the sky. It is a fight for no reason. After all, they are all water."

However as well as being a hyper - realist painter in terms of atmosphere, she allows for an element of magical realism and even some abstraction to create her stunning and highly moving scenes. Crashing waves meet misty. ethereal waters in a cascade of foam and water and emotion!

There are 15 Artists Proofs and 99 Special Limited Edition Proofs available in the run.

The rarer Artists Proofs are printed on either top of the range  Infinity Musuem Pro or Hahnemuhle Cezanne white cotton stretched canvasses, hand made, hand stretched and hand finished. The Special proofs are printed on Hahnemuhle Cezanne 430gsm natural white cotton, acid and lignin-free, using the latest technology to produce an incredible colour match which can be varnished if required.

All stretchers are wedged to ensure that the canvas remains beautifully stretched. Each print is individually numbered and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity signed by both Marina Syntelis and The Papillon Gallery.

Each print can either be float framed , double float framed in Marinas white Mediterranean frames or unframed depending on personal taste. The price includes single frame. Please contact us for other frame options.
