Marina Syntelis is rapidly becoming one of the greatest living seascape artists in the world!
Regarding Strange Blue Marina commented:
“In this piece, I tried to ‘read’ the surface of the sea as seen from the bottom looking up. I spent much time in the water, following the magical tiny lines of light and colour, dancing continuously before my eyes. At my studio sessions, I recalled this experience and let my brush dance on the canvas. I used to listen to a certain song by Terence Trent D’Arby which inspired me to use for the title."

Due to the scarcity and popularity of her originals (with so much oil layer work Marina only produces 6 – 8 new standard size paintings a year), we are proud to launch a limited edition run of only 15 Artists Proofs and 99 standard Museum quality canvas prints of most of her major paintings to date!
The quality of the canvases as seen at The Southampton International Boat Show September 2021 and Boatlife NEC February 2022 are incredible and tremendous value really capturing the feel and power of Marina’s work beautifully!
Framing options are for either a single white float frame, a double white Mediterranean style floating frame or unframed (canvas sides can be hand painted).
The canvas is acid free and now includes a UV protection varnish.
